Optimized their control environment by identifying key controls within the organization to achieve SOX compliance in an efficient and effective manner. Major Scopes covered as a part of internal audits or SOX engagements included: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Financial Statement Close and Commodity Trading. • Assisted clients’ in developing their risk assessment model and creating an annual audit plan. Engaged in a cost optimization project responsible for identifying opportunities for cost savings within the downstream operations for a major integrated oil company, which resulted in several million dollars in potential savings for the company. • Major client assignments have been with Shell, British Petroleum, ChevronTexaco and Huntsman Chemical. • Developed and conducted training courses for both clients and internal programs for KPMG professionals. Received several awards based on the results from conducting these courses.
