Tarin Kowt, Uruzgan, Afghanistan

Counter Narcotics Advisor in one of the most active poppy producing regions in Afghanistan. Responsible for the monitoring, evaluation and development of an effective counter narcotics program within the province of Uruzgan. Provided guidance and support for day-to-day operations and future counter narcotics strategy and plans at the local and national level. Facilitated constructive relationships between CNAT and the provincial leadership to include the Governor, his staff and local directorates. Developed and conducted a training program to increase competence of the Counter Narcotics Advisory Team. Managed two separate compounds, 52 Afghan local staff and over $20,000,000 of US Government assets.

Iraq Ministry Of Defense, Baghdad, Iraq

Mentored and advised the Iraqi Deputy Director of the Civilian Training and Development Center and the three major subordinate directors. Instrumental in the creation of the Iraqi Ministerial Training and Development Center to support the education of the nearly 6000 Iraqi ministry of defense’s workforce. Developed a career path for eight separate functional areas working in the Ministry of Defense tied to a merit based promotion system. Established 120 courses in the base-line curriculum in support of eight functional areas. Developed the Train the Trainer curriculum and trained and certified over 200 professional trainers and cadre for the Ministry of Defense, Iraqi.
