West Tennessee & West Kentucky

Responsible for developing territories and sales representatives to grow market share selling to both commercial and non-commercial customers with a full line of food and non-food products. Helped to develop and grow the company exceeding $150 million annually in sales. Company was purchased by Gordon Food Service in 2000.

West Kentucky (Benton, Murray, Mayfield)

Took a territory selling food products to a variety of customers including restaurants, caterers, nursing homes, hospitals, and schools. Took the territory that was producing approximately $6,500 per week in sales and grew to over $40,000 weekly in 18 months. Business was acquired through offering exceptional customer service and delivering on customer expectations.

Martin, Tennessee

ID was a family-owned wholesale grocery company based out of east Kentucky that expanded and purchased the warehouse previously owned by Lovelace-Farmer. Was the first person hired for the startup of operations in West Tennessee. Started as a warehouse worker in receiving, stocking product, order selector, computer operator, and in delivering of product.

Martin, Tennessee

Lovelace-Farmer was a wholesale grocer that mainly serviced the many small family-owned grocery stores that were prevalent many years ago. Worked in the warehouse receiving product and placing in inventory, selecting product, loading onto trucks, and making deliveries. Company ceased operations in 1982 and building was purchased by Institutional Distributors, Inc., based out of Kentucky.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Area

Worked in the oil fields on a team of four helping with operations on an oil rig. Was responsible for doing an array of things needed to keep the rig drilling for oil in a 24/7 operation.

Martin, Tennessee

Worked my junior and senior years of high school and into the first two years of college. Was an associate stocking shelves with product, servicing customers by bagging groceries, and handling money and deposits at night. Was night manager the last two years there.
