Killeen/Temple, Texas Area

Exercise and Evaluation Lead Trainer for the FEMA Regional Exercise Support Program. Provided exercise and training support for a number of exercises at local, state and national levels across the United States. Planned and supported multiple exercises throughout FEMA Region VI and provided training and exercise support to local, state and federal emergency medical, law enforcement, military and other emergency management personnel. This included several exercises that featured involvement of US Army National Guard and Reserve personnel operating in a defense support to civil authorities (DSCA) capacity. I also served during the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) as the Lead State Liaison for the State of Oklahoma, one of the five primary state participants in NLE 09.

Fort Hood, Texas

Developed and implemented critical training for numerous Battalion and Brigade level staffs preparing for deployment to OIF and OEF. Principle SME for the ASAS system and knowledge and expertise on FBCB2/BFT, CPOF and other digital systems. Provided exercise support and CMO/Intel SME support to multiple brigade and higher level exercises conducted at the Fort Hood, BCTC/MCTC. Responsibilities included exercise design, scenario development, exercise response cell/white cell support, as well as, coaching and mentoring unit S-2, IO, CMO and PAO staff members

Operation Iraqi Freedom

Served as a Civil Affairs A-Team leader in a Civil-Military Operations Center (CMOC) supporting the Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT) in Irbil, Iraq. Worked closely with representatives from the local through Ministry-level Iraqi government, the United Nations, US Army Corps of Engineers, the US State Department, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and a range of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Coordinated operations with area Military Training Teams (MiTT), Police Transition Teams (PiTT) and Border Transition Teams (BiTT) throughout northern Iraq. Supported a range of civil-military operations from the regional through local levels. Certified as a purchasing agent and Contracting Officers’ Representative (COR) and served in this role for multiple contracts throughout northern Iraq.

Site Manager for the Ft. Hood, TX Railhead and Airfield Support Program. This program provided push-pull support to hundreds of major railhead (56) and airfield (250) operations. Managed eight direct reports and over 120 NGIS employees supporting rail and air missions for deploying and re-deploying units at Ft. Hood. Supervised or conducted over 500 interviews to meet the manpower demands of the Fort Hood Department of Logistics (DOL) customer. Responsibilities included scheduling and coordinating with the client and deploying Army units, the BNSF railroad, and individual soldiers, DA civilians, and contractors. Provided and supervised all aspects of employee evaluations, hiring selection, disciplinary action, time management (including overtime) and accountability of government and corporate furnished equipment (GFE/CFE) to include computers, and six vehicles. This program required exceptional safety and risk management considerations due to the life-threatening environment of the contract. Over the duration of the contract, no serious injury to employees occurred.

Fort Hood, Texas

Provided critical training to soldiers and leaders as an instructor for the Future Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) and Blue Force Tracker (BFT) operator’s and leaders course. Provided review and refinement of numerous Programs of Instruction (POIs). Taught BFT Leader’s Course preparing to hundreds of US Army National Guard and Reservists deploy in support of OIF and OEF at the Idaho National Guard Headquarters in Boise, Idaho.

Fort Hood, Texas

Developed numerous training support packages (TSP) for Platoon through Brigade to facilitate training at home station and CTCs. These TSPs were the first of their kind to incorporate FBCB2/BFT equipped units conducting training in simulation. Provided training evaluations for these units as they executed the TSPs.

Provided training and training support for exercises from Platoon through Corps levels at home station. Participated in two National Training Center rotations; once as a CO/TM Fires Support Officer, and as a Platoon Leader. Participated in a Wild-land Firefighting operation as a Platoon Leader.
