I have over 30 years of continually changing IT Governance experience. Starting as a computer programmer and progressing to Senior IT Audit Manager (Head of IT Audit) in a Financial Services organisation.Recently completed supporting ISACA’s activities with the Cyber Security Alliance, a group of the UK’s cyber security related bodies. The Alliance’s work includes establishing the UK’s Cyber Security Council, on behalf of the UK’s Government. Active member of the Cyber Security Alliance Management Group and Professional Registration work stream. Have just helped two organisations with the PCI DSS requirements.Completed a contracts as a SOX adviser at BAT, and two pharmaceutical organistaions.Other completed a contracts include at a local council reviewing AD, SharePoint and a sensitive application.I have been working with Oakland Consultants to deliver a major Information Governance programme at Network Rail. Proud to have worked within the NHS with MIAA and Programme QA at Cambridge University Press. I have previously been responsible for a risk based audit plans covering IT systems, third party management and information security, within Banking, Insurance and Retail organisations, in the UK and overseas. I have led teams of highly skilled IT audit professionals, providing subject matter expertise and challenge on business change, programme management & project assurance, IT systems development, third party management, information security, payments systems attestation, application and infrastructure design and management.I have experience working alongside senior stakeholders and internally with senior Risk and Audit leadership teams helping to build the design and implement the internal audit strategy, ensuring it met both internal standards and industry best practice. Whilst, ensuring a cost effective resourcing model was in place including the management of co-source partners.Core to the role is an aptitude to build and maintain strategic relationships both internally and externally and the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders up to Board level.Now Past President of the ISACA Northern England Chapter Board after 3 years fantastic years, ending June 2021.Specialties: All aspects of IT !!
