A Senior ERP Analyst provides senior-level project management, business analysis, and functional expertise for the design, development, operation, and modification of mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems. The Senior ERP Analyst is applies significant professional experience and expertise to ensure that assigned enterprise-wide systems and modules or systems meet the broad functional needs of a company and serving as a liaison between functional and technical resources.This is a high profile professional information technology and business analysis position supporting university-wide business system. The primary duties of this position involve the application of significant functional and business process knowledge to the design, development, modification, and maintenance of enterprise-wide systems affecting hundreds of users. When reporting into a functional area, this position is sometimes viewed as the most senior “super-user” for the modules affecting that function. When reporting into the Enterprise Business Systems organization, this position serves as a functional project manager and business analyst for complex development projects and upgrades.The nature of this work requires an individual whose background combines functional expertise and business management skills with an understanding of information technology, and specific knowledge of the assigned enterprise-wide software and modules. This position requires problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users. This position requires an ability to manage multiple tasks, respond quickly to emergent problems, and to focus both on long-range projects and immediate tasks required to maintain system functionality. While the duties are similar, this position is differentiated from the lower level ERP Analyst position by the scope and complexity of the projects, and by the level of specific software knowledge.
