As director of software engineering, I am responsible for managing a growing software team that interfaces closely with our hardware team to provide the ability to record data from our sensors, reports on that data, and gain insight from it.Daily responsibilities include architecture, implementation (Java/SQL/AWS), code review, one-on-one meetings, interfacing with other teams, and agile process management.Early on, I was the sole developer at the company, but the team has grown substantially since. During the last few years, I was integral to expanding our services into AWS cloud infrastructure.
