About John Kardos

Colonel John Kardos served as a U.S. Army infantry officer for 31 years before retiring in July 2010. During his career, he served in numerous command and staff positions with airborne, air assault, light infantry, and training units, and various functional headquarters. Colonel Kardos’ final assignment was as the Director of the Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI) at the U.S. Army War College. After retiring from the Army, he served for 12 years as the Senior Army Instructor for the Junior ROTC program at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Colonel Kardos retired from teaching at the end of June 2022.
