Recruited to stabilize, redevelop and re-deploy the deteriorating UNISYS Enterprise Security Services (ESS) Center of Excellence (COE). As the North American Int. Principal Architect for the ESS Group, I developed and managed a 16 member International IT Security practice. Which consisted of 3 regional consulting teams, 2 anywhere, anytime Emergency Response Road Warriors, and 2 Research and Development staff.The team and I interacted with several industry steering groups such as GIGA, and GARTNER providing extensive sanitized ITSEC Press materials. My responsibilities and authority level were: Conceptualized, designed, implemented, and support newly developed integrated solutions for client engagements.Worked with Internal Marketing Groups to position ESS as a recognized IT security industry expert in a specific technology (banking), and to use this status to generate profitable revenue and growth. Worked with sales and marketing groups to interface with the client’s highest technical executives (e.g., the CIO, Chief Technology Officer) to promote sales and partnerships. Oversaw the design and integration of leading-edge, and business critical solutions for major, enterprise-wide companies for multiple projects. Served as the IT Security Services & Technology mentor for other organizations within the company. Managed ESS and re-trained sales staff on how to properly find, qualify and negotiate the most optimal services and billing rates for service opportunity award. Increasing proposal win ratios from 1 in 17, to 1 in 8 in less than 8 months.Developed and implemented a successful individual customized reward system for those staff who identified additional follow-on services, or resolved newly discovered IT Security breaching processes that demonstrated UNISYS's IT Security Services to the business community.

Participated in 6 invitation-only multi-vendor engineering team show events. My duties were handling Special Projects in extremely challenging locations and situation. Which were needed to facilitate a networked trade show and provide World-Wide connectivity for a 300+ vendor network. With many conflicting communication needs, all from scratch in less than 7 days.

Contracted by the S3-Networks’ CEO and CFO to implement an accelerated (<180 days) IT Security Consulting Practice Development and Roll-out for this pre-IPO LLC. All top layer staff were recruited, all tasks and offerings written and delivered in 90 days. The IPO was successful and I was awarded 31,000 shares of IPO stock plus all 6 months of the contracted salary.

Southern Regional Us States (Atlanta, Ga. )

Southern Regional IT Security Services Manager for the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and MississippiDealt with clients across the Southern region to provide contracted IT Networking and IT Security services. Developed and/or updated IT Service offerings and related services State of Work and delivery contracts.Supported and/or trained existing BellSouth Sales Staff as needed on approved IT Service offerings.Managed two 3rd party IT Services vendors who provided IT consulting and delivery services. Assigning work, as appropriate, based on their IT Staff skills and technical delivery abilities. Presented numerous IT Security speeches for various industries and F- 500 companies, within the Southern Regional area. A proposal to win rate of about 73% was obtained, just before the Dot.Com Bubble burst.In June 2000, BellSouth decided to fold its three IT related business divisions into one, resulting in a 32+% reduction of staff and management. Those with the most seniority, rightfully so, were retained over more newly hired.

*Second founding team member for the Professional Services Organization (PSO) and member of the core founding IT Security Consulting team.* Promoted twice: Security Consultant to Senior Security Consultant, then to Southeast Staff / Services Coordinator. * As part of the core team, we developed all initial service offerings, delivery methodologies, conducted, ISS security product setup, and application training materials. * Plus a part of the development team, we develop four additional IT Security service offerings that were added to the Pre-IPO business portfolio. * Purposed and developed the initial ISS Computer Forensics offering, which was adopted and quickly generated revenue.* Our clients ranged from Fortune 100+, various Internet Service Providers to classified US Government and DOD clients. Due to my US Dept of Defense background and past security clearances, I handled most of the US Government related IT service deliveries and remote IT Security Training of the initial DOD Cybersecurity personnel.* 1998 Employee of the Quarter and was awarded additional pre-IPO Shares.* When the 3rd new VP for the Professional Services Organization openly stated he would be making serious staff adjustments. The X-Force Security Team "accidentally" noted he was hiring many of his former workers. So I and several others accepted long-standing position offers. In my case, I took on the new role of Bell Souths Southeastern Regional IT Services Director. Where I then contracted ISS IT Security staff as needed for assignments.

* Sr. IT Security Consultant Southern Regional area and later IT Security Team Manager (NYC/Newark)* Initially employed to handle southeast commercial networking and IT Security Consulting Services for clients mainly in the Southern states region. * Later accepted a promotion to manage the SSDS IT Security Services project at PSE&G in Newark, NJ.* I was awarded Employee Of the Quarter for successfully developing a full range of IT Security Services that added 35 staff months of billable time. Due to family related medical issues and being absent 5 1/2 days a week for over 6 months. I submitted my resignation to coincide with the end of the Newark NJ. contracted services.

Project Lead Consultant Performed network and IT security projects for a wide variety of F-500 clients on an international scale. Assigned Major international clients such as; Delta Air Lines, CNN, and Cox Communications. Held a 4.8 /5.0 100% satisfaction rating from my clients. Several even offered me positions, and there were many requests for additional follow on IT consulting work. I was awarded additional stock options and recognized as the Employee of the Quarter by the CEO of INS.Departed the position due to excessive Office Politics, and what quickly turned into 90+% National and International travel. Despite the agreed on condition on my initial acceptance, that the position was to be mostly Metro-Atlanta area. This quickly became 1 to 3 week extended duration Nationwide and then International Travel. Simply put, my Wife and family were more important.

DOD-DISA Security Clearances ranging from Secret and Top Secret with Special Background Investigations. IT Services for various US Government INTEL and DOD classified IT related services and operations. Duties and services ranged from TRADOC Course development for System repairs, Server configurations to large Secure Compartmentalized system designs, network engineering, implementations and user training. On DOD contracts I have dealt with; Enterprise Network operations, design, system circuit and board level repairs, Unix System Admin and securing Internet connectivity issues. Awarded US Army SFOD-D (US Army Delta-Force) Commander's Medal for Civilian Services, for special IT support actions during several Special Deployments & Operations.After the Ft. Bragg Special Forces Contract award was protested for 4+ months, I accepted a DOD Contracted IT Services position at Scott AFB - US Transcom managing the secured network. At this location, I became one of only seven sites in the DOD to discover and stop the General O'Berry White Cap IT Security penetration team. In fact, tracking them to their operational location and having them detained by Air Force Security Police. Funny note: I later was hired at ISS by one of the former White Cap penetration team leads.
