Utilizing a series of in-house tools, the UA SSEL provides general engineering support to the UA Lunar and Planetary Sciences Lab for mission proposals as well as conducting independent research into a number of separate topics, including asteroid rendezvous missions as well as spacecraft and rocket guidance systems.

In charge of all rocketry programs currently being pursued by the student branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) at the University of Arizona. Primary project is a rocket that will carry a 10 lbm payload to 10,000 ft. Other projects are designed to prepare younger students for undergoing the primary project.

As a first year student, I primarily observed how the team functioned and went about planning and developing deliverables. Begin my study into orbital mechanics and learning how to use STK.
