As an employee of Charlie West Pottery, my job consists of many different things. As the Director of Marketing and Office Manager, I am expected to make phone calls and have face to face meetings with potential and existing customers. I am also in charge of our company’s website, www.charliewestlamps.com. Our website serves as an online catalog which includes pictures of all our different styles and glazes. From a customer’s point of view, it is extremely important that our product is accessible. The website makes this possible. I am also responsible for answering the phone, taking orders and making sure our inventory is stocked. When business picks up, I am also in charge of packing and shipping the lamps. This is a very important job since our product is so fragile. From time to time, I also participate in glazing, fitting and even wiring the lamps.
