I've worked with building products since gaining my Civil Engineering degree, primarily for manufacturers, but also for contractors.I am now taking that experience into product certification of innovative construction products.My previous role was with metal roofing and cladding products such as built-up systems, composite panels, rainscreen cladding and structural decking.I've previously worked with these and other cladding products such as standing seam and single-ply membranes. I've also experience with a wider range of construction products such as drainage profiles, ground reinforcement, and heavy-side products such as concrete / clay roof-tiles, standard / architectural masonry, cast-stone, and retaining walls.I like to think that this gives me a wider understanding of the needs of my company, architects, engineers, installers and end users, but as my wife has found out this more often than not means I can recognize the brickwork used. Which is always handy in a pinch when out shopping.
