I am a self-motivated, highly driven, results-oriented software developer with a love of writing code and building well-crafted software solutions. I love thinking through through complex problems and discussing them with other like-minded individuals. I could talk about code all day long.With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, I can communicate comfortably and confidently with customers. I have further built on this skill by providing direct support to customers and clients for various software products and projects that I oversaw from initial vision to final launch.I have extensive experience with the PHP language, run a blog powered by WordPress and think APIs are awesome. I also have experience with HTML, CSS, SQL, JavaScript, MVC frameworks, etc. My experience is primarily in back-end development, but I can get around comfortably building out front-end solutions; I would like to expand my knowledge in building front-end solutions.My recent projects include building large-scale records management and reporting software solutions for highway departments and county governments; custom content management systems; desktop utilities for processing large amounts of legacy data; writing data conversion tools to convert data from legacy formats into newer, more modern formats; custom parsing software that consumes many different APIs and an offline JavaScript-based spellchecking system for the Adobe Brackets code editor.
