Responsibility for customer issue resolution on Avaya Data products.• Take escalations from Level-2 GNPS for Service Providers and major enterprise customers resolving complex technical issues and network outages involving spanning tree protocol, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP), QoS (802.1 Q, Diff-serv), VRRP, RSMLT, Multicast Routing Protocols , access policies,filters ,SPBM and traffic policing and shaping.• Review customers' network design / configuration and provide best network design / configuration practices to address technical issues and to optimize network performance.• Review and provide information on software and hardware releases and technical justifications for the next software or hardware release deployment to the customers.• Provide RCA for complex issues seen on customer’s network• Provide on-site assistance with implementing recommended configuration and network changes.• Provide assistance to Avaya Networks Emergency Recovery team in case of disaster recovery or on-site emergency recovery.• Perform system level testing to uncover complex network issues seen on large network topologies• Replicate complex customers' issues in the lab using traffic generating and monitoring tools including, Ethereal/Sniffer Pro, McHammer, Wireshark, TCP dump.• Write/review technical documentation including customer service bulletins and technical service bulletins.• Participate in Beta testing programs to verify / test the future software releases of Ethernet Switching / Routing products for any bugs.• Work with Critical Accounts Program (CAP) Team handling CAP escalations from major clients .
