2016-to present:Started working with our Maker team to engage, develop and promote technical content with customers interested in getting into the maker movement; demonstrating Digi-Key development boards like Arduino, BeagleBoard and Raspberry pi and attending the various maker faire events. Adding in January 2017 to November 2020 – Manage & coordinated content for Digi-Key’s direct print mailers promoting our products to perspective customers. August 2020 - adding to our engineering side of providing content for university students.

Managed our Technical Content team which proof (& sometimes develop) scripts for Product Training Modules, Technical Articles, New Product Highlights, Technical news letter briefs, Special projects and maintaining technical information in our techzones. Working with suppliers to promote our standards for creating technical information. Coordinated and assisted in making the flow of processes and information more efficient. Work with marketing to make technical information more effective for SEO.

Built and developed a growing team of Application Engineers to assist customers throughout the design of products. Managed design projects via a custom made CRM to aid our company to gain design registrations and track customer projects. Provided design assistance for customer projects and helping drive registrations with suppliers. Worked with suppliers to leverage their technologies and training for our AEs enabling top-notch assistance for our customers. Developed a passion for and aided the creation of "Geek"​ moment videos and eewiki.net where our AEs created technical “how to” from embedded Linux scripts to creating a schematic debouncing a switch using VHDL. Assisted with third party engineering firms partnering with our company.

1984 - I was hired as a Technical Support Specialist taking technical calls on catalog parts/products, supporting the Tiny Basic Board from National Semiconductor and the Amdek line of computer products. Assisted in cleaning the Printronix printers in our computer room and running computer & phone cables for Teleray computer terminals. Additionally, I acquired a purchasing function (1986) where we used green bar paper print outs to calculate our monthly supply of components to be ordered. Tested and managed new product to be evaluated for addition to our catalog. 1987 acquired another function of Quality Control Manager and assisted with inspection of incoming products by implementing control charts that helped qualify incoming products to be received. Fully implemented an ESD program to protect our semiconductor components coming from suppliers and going out to customers. Developed a calibration system for our company equipment and assisted in the implementation of our ISO Quality program & certification. ISO9001/2 internal auditor for 10 years (1994 to 2004). Provided technical support for customers on top semiconductor companies like National Semiconductor, Maxim, Linear Technologies, Xilinx, Intersil, Zetex and specialized in microcontroller support for Microchip & Parallax. Supervisor of Phone Technicians & Product Specialists adding products to our catalog.
