In this role with Wests Global Engineering Group and a primary emphasis on automation and device assembly operations in North America, I supervised a team of up to 13 skilled engineers and leaders responsible for automation and assembly systems for both proprietary products and contract manufacturing. Effectively balanced managerial duties in the office with travel-related activities. • Implemented automation system comprising three continuous motion automation cells in a 30k sq ft cleanroom, capable of producing 55 million subassemblies annually, with a total of three systems capable of 110M.• Enhanced output of automated fluid path assembly cell by addressing equipment maintenance and tooling wear issues, restoring capacity to ~30% OEE (~400 assemblies per shift).• Collaborated with vendors and engineering team to develop and deploy automated fluid path machine, reducing cycle time to ≤ 5s and maintaining 85% OEE with a ≥ 96% yield, resulting in a >4x capacity increase to 1600 assemblies per shift.• Led the development of automated 3.5mL single-use drug delivery pump, increasing yield to 3600 per shift compared to ~500 parts per shift with a manual line.• Improved output capacity for a 10mL single-use drug delivery pump, increasing yield from approximately 35% to 90% and net units from 150 to 350 per shift.• Initiated efforts to automate the 10mL single-use drug delivery pump, targeting a cycle time reduction from ~45s to ~4s for over a 10x increase in capacity.
