• Relationship Manager of the Entrust Growth Fund. Providing loans of up to £50,000 to established North East SME's looking to pursue growth strategies, but that are unable to obtain some or all of their funding.
• Dealing with funding enquiries from potential borrowers including the initial contact, assessing eligibility and outlining the loan application process.
• To assess applications to the decision stage using the principles of good lending
• Interview applicants and interrogate business plan, financials and forecasts to determine viability of the businesses.
• To liaise with the customer, building rapport and trust to ensure an ongoing relationship.
• Prepare credit reports with lending recommendation for presentation to Credit Committee.

• Assess applications to the North East Microloan Fund. Providing loans of £1,000 - £25,000 to existing and start up businesses that are unable to obtain funding from mainstream lenders
• Review and scrutiny of business plans, cashflow forecasts and other financial information including; annual and management accounts, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, credit reports, bank statements
• Assess how realistic cash flow forecasts and profitability projections appear and highlighting any areas of uncertainty
• Interview applicants and subsequently produce a credit submission paper to be presented to Credit Committee reporting on the background, market, management and financial strength of the proposal
• Monitor and maintain appropriate databases and records, prepare pre-contracts and to contribute towards achieving lending targets
• Dealing with any enquiries from potential borrowers and introducers

• Management of the Society’s £850m social housing loan book, implementing policy to seek redemptions to ensure overall exposure wound down as expeditiously as possible
• Manage system to monitor covenant compliance, with a view to identifying breaches and resultant scope to call up debt or seek re-pricing
• Manage credit stewardship in line with Lending Policy including presentation of Annual Reviews and Business Plan Approvals to Executive Committee
• Oversee collation of MI, audited accounts, business plans, valuations and insurance renewals
• Primary point of contact for borrowers, syndicate partners and professional advisors
• Provide guidance to support staff ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to in delivery of an efficient and effective service to internal and external contacts

• Management and prevention of arrears on buy to let mortgages with aggregate balances in excess of £500,000
• Management of buy to let portfolios in possession, including liaising with letting agents regarding rent, arrears, property maintenance, vacant units and tenant queries
• Communicating with borrowers, valuers, solicitors and other professionals
• Production of written reports and MI for submission to the Society’s Credit Committee
• Liaise with other departments within the Society e.g. Credit Control, Customer Lending Centre, Legal Services, Credit Risk to assist with the day to day operation of the Business Recovery department
• Providing day to day support to the Business Recovery Manager. Deputising in his absence at Credit Committee
