John provides underwriting, coverage and claims counsel to international insurers regarding complex risks and high-severity losses. For contested claims, John supports the Client’s claim examination efforts and facilitates negotiations towards timely, efficient and relationship-preserving dispute resolutions. When necessary, John champions the Client’s interests through international arbitration proceedings or domestic litigation. John was a previously a partner at Lord Bissell & Brook. John has litigated, supervised and monitored numerous multi-million dollar matters in a wide array of practice areas, including aviation, bankruptcy, corporate governance, directors’ and officers’ liability, environmental law and regulation, health hazards, legislative/governmental affairs, mining, pharmaceuticals, professional liability, product liability and public entity liability. John obtained his law degree, cum laude, and a Masters in Public Affairs (Environmental Law and Policy Analysis) from Indiana University; and his undergraduate degree, with Honors and Distinction, from Valparaiso University.
