Provided development support for Banking and Lending Applications Team that includes analysis, design and development of application enhancements and production fixes. Applications are .Net full stack consisting C# ASP.Net framework v 4.5, WCF SOAP Services, MSSQL Server development and support and Windows Notification Services. SOA based architecture is widely used in the firm utilizing custom built ML frameworks including MLIF and BEC. Implemented code refactoring to help facilitate unit testing using xUnit Framwork, DI, and Unity IOC ContainersImplemented auditing solution to fulfill an industry regulatory requirement. The solution is a Big Data solution that monitors and captures user activity of client non public information. Solution was built as C# http module and windows service which logs activity information to a Hadoop data repository. Participated in numerous planning sessions to help migrate existing Web Form applications to MVC 4.0-5.0 framework. Analyzed and provided detailed documentation of application flow and interfaces. Designed and developed various POC applications utilizing MVC 4.0-5.0 Razor, AngularJS, KnockOut, and SPA application designs. Lead team application design demos and team mentoring on POC designs in anticipation of the application technology upgrade and migration. Correspondence Editor – Reviewed platform and application implementation and provided recommendations and direction on future application development. Current business requirements are complex and fluid and application flexibility is paramount. Redesigned and developed current static web control implementation to dynamic control creation by developing a generic control container. This approach provided the flexibility that was missing from the current implementation. Also Introduced various OO and .net concepts to create a more robust development platform including the use of LINQ, Reflection, and Extension Methods. By providing a more decoupled and extendable platform, development time was reduced by more than 50% for more complex pages. C# VS 2010 is the primary development platform. Agile software development process is widely used by the team.DB Administration Tool – Designed and developed custom web application to maintain reference data used in he Correspondence Editor application. Application was implemented using Model View Presenter(MVP) design pattern and developed in C# .net VS 2010.Volume Metrics Reporting Platform – Designed and developed a custom reporting platform to compile client correspondence volume metrics. Application is developed in C# VS 2010 WinForms client and administration interface with report data exposed as WCF Restful services. Rest services are self hosted and running on app servers. Data is serialized and deserialized in XML. XSLT and MSXSL scripting is leveraged to perform report transformations. Reports are scheduled to run monthly in addition to adhoc reporting via WinForms GUI. Xpression Transaction Process – Migrated windows batch command process into windows service. Application rewrite a is multi-threaded process developed in C# using .net TPL. The application process monitors existing folders for incoming content files in xml format. Content files are read and loaded into a SQL Database.

Records Retention Workstation – Led development effort to design, develop, and implement records retention workstation. RRW is a loan records tracking system that tracks location and client requests of original loan documents. Lead requirement sessions with business users, obtained formal sign off, designed and developed logical and physical data model, designed and developed UI in custom built framework. Framework was built in ASP 2.0, AJAX, XSLT, Javascript. Suspense Workstation – Led development effort to design, develop and implement a new rules engine for an existing user workstation application. Lead requirements, design, development and implementation of new rules engine for compliance reporting of suspense cash for the company. Rules engine was designed and developed as a scalar TSQL function SQL 2000 in v1.0 and upgraded to a table function in TSQL 2008 v2.0. Production Support of MS SQL Server 2000 & 2008 Data Warehouse. Maintained and updated change requests of existing stored queries. Developed solutions for new reporting requirements - Created and optimized stored procs, functions for performance.

Created several rules based equity trading strategies. Strategies are written in C# and back-tested in 3rd party proprietary application Wealth Lab Pro v6.0. The GWM workstation was primarily used by Financial Advisors to support ML wealth management business. ML Direct is the client's primary web portal to access their accounts. Technology products were primarily developed in C#, VB.net and deployed .NET 1.1 - 3.5 frameworks and other customized frameworks built by ML Architecture team. SOA principles governed customized frameworks built by ML Architecture team. Global Wealth Management -Record Services - .Net web service that connects to First Data Corp that returns check image for UI display. Email DSP - Data Service Provider component that retrieved, edit and deleting of client email addresses. GWM Alerts - Sent real time alerts to the FA triggered by predefined rules. These rules could be related to the accounts the FA managed, compliance alerts related to the FA, or even just firm wide notifications.Merge Utility - Web application tool used by home office to consolidate client record information.ML Direct Online - Client Records - Provided client access to online statements in PDF format via Merrill Lynch Online.Client Account Alerts - Provided client ability to maintain and set rules to notify client if an account rule has been triggered.

PI Online Enrollment - is an intraday batch process application that processes newly enrolled Private Investor's accounts. Client and Account information are received via file feed from Merrill Lynch (ML). Holdings information is extracted via CICS transaction. The transaction is exposed via Web Service hosted on the ML IF platform. Account/Client rules are subsequently applied and the account is loaded to MLIM PI Data Warehouse. The IF platform is a horizontal service for internal and external clients that provides access to firm specific functionality through a generally accessible interface. Implementation is in Java 2.0 v1.4.2, IBM MQ, Oracle v9.x, PLSQL, Informatica.Client/Account Master (CAMUI) - is 3-tier web application tool to provide PI Operations group means to manage Client/Account information for the MLIM PI Business. Information such as Client/Account, Contact, FA, Custodian, Trading, Holdings, Legal, and Billing for all PI Accounts are maintained via CAMUI. Due to the enterprise scale of the project the analysis/design work was done on site and a large portion of the development work was outsourced to an ADC vendor. Implementation is in J2EE, BEA WebLogic v8.x, Struts Framework, IBM MQ, JMS, Oracle 9x (Eagle Pace).AMS Interfaces Rework - AMS is web application that is used to maintain Client/Account Data for PI Accounts and to propogate data updates to dependent down stream systems. Due to a group wide Data Warehouse migration to third party product Eagle Pace, AMS required a complete middle tier and interface rework. The middle tier business logic was completely redesigned using J2EE design patterns. Oracle Stored Procedures were completely rewritten in PLSQL.

PI Reporting Platform Consolidation - The objective was to design an integrated solution to consolidate the fragmented reporting applications for PI Portfolio Managers and PI Operations. The solution was a implemented as a web portal that provided customizable dash board of reports including a report that provides a visual representation of a Portfolio Managers Accounts and the dispersion of the accounts with respect to an Investment Model. The portal was implemented via third party package, Plumtree. Applications were implemented in J2EE Weblogic 8.x. Private Investors Portfolio Manager Toolkit - Worked with a team of developers to design, develop, and implement the Portfolio Managers Toolkit. The application provided a portal thru which Portfolio Managers accessed their respective account holdings information, performance, exception reporting including model dispersion. Implementation was ASP/XSLT/XML/HTML front end, COM+ middle tier, and Oracle 8i backend. Stored procedures were written in PL SQL. Application was secured and launched thru Plumtree Portal. Private Investor Account Access application - PIAA provided a channel thru which Financial Advisors(FA) can access summary and detail holdings information, account transactions, production credits and billing information. Implementation was ASP/XSLT/XML/HTML front end, COM+ middle tier, and Oracle 8i backend. Stored procedures were written in PL SQL and DBXMLQuery was used to return data as XML documents. Documents were transformed with XSLT Style sheets and MSXML v3.0 transformer.

Point person involved with evaluating, designing and implementing a global content management system (GCMS) for MLIM eBusiness. Vendor management, product evaluation, code reviews, gap analysis, product feasibility and application migration efforts were among the major tasks involved. In addition, served as tech lead to migrate a current application Web-In-A-Can from SQL Server to GCMS. Involved in designing and creating a wrapper APIs to GCMS written in Visual Basic 6.0 to be primarily used as the eBusiness programmers interface for GCMS. Also involved was an effort to convert content stored in SQL Server from HTML to XML, migrate the content to GCMS, and render it through XSLT. The current project focused heavily on XML/XSLT,Portal solutions and concepts of Web Services for platform independence. Microsoft's DOM implementation (MSXML3) was the primary XML parser although the Microsoft's SAX implementation was considered for large XML data files.

Worked as a tech lead to build the CIM web based intranet application pilot. Primarily used to push prospect and client related information to the FCs. FCs use the information to make product and/or service recommendations to clients and prospects. The architecture is a 3 tier architecture using IE4.0/IIS - VB6 MTS Components - IBM UDB. Developed enhancements to Visual Basic 5.0 MTS Components and ASP pages of an intranet application MLD (Marketing List Distribution). Worked to optimize MTS Component performance of the MLD application by converting VB MTS components to Visual C++ MTS components. Performance testing of the newly developed components, however, revealed insignificant performance gains and the new components were shelved

Work on a team of developers to build an intranet application MLD (Marketing List Distribution) to provide a vehicle to deliver marketing campaigns to and receive feed back from branch office Financial Consultants. Total user base was approximately 16,000. A 3 tier Architecture was chosen for this application. User Services was IE4.0 DHTML/HTML and Active Server Pages. Business Services were written in VB 6.0 and registered in MTS. Data Services was UDB (DB2). User Level security was authenticated through an RPC call and state was maintained through Cookies. Visual Source Safe 5.x/6.x was used for Source Control. Stress testing was done with Microsoft Web Application Stress Tool 1.0. Worked on a team of developers to build a web application to provide management reporting to ML Branch Office Service Managers. Total user base was approximately 500 users. User/Business Services was IE4.0 DHTML and Active Server Pages. ADO accessed the data services. User Level security was authenticated through an RPC call and state was maintained through session variables. Data Services was DB2 accessed through a third party ODBC driver (Shadow Direct). RPCs were coded in COBOL to optimize data access.

Participated in Merrill Lynch sponsored Programming/Business training program during which time formal class room training in programming and Series 7 and 63 licensing was provided. Such training included Visual C++ 5.0, C++, UNIX, Visual Basic 5.0, ASP, Javascript, VBScript.

Worked on various development projects to build reporting applications for the derivative client services department. (Mark to Market Interest Rate Swaps, Margins Calculation, ect.) These applications were traditional 2 tier with a user base from 1 to 10 persons. Use of MS Access 2.0/7.0 and Visual Basic 4.0 to build front end applications with Sybase server or MS Access Backends. Data Sourcing was done by batch jobs or file imports.

Worked to provide technical solutions to optimize group performance using MS Access and MS Excel. Also developed reporting applications for equity research publications. Data was sourced through Excel spread sheets
