• In this role, I oversaw and directed digital Vegetable Pipeline Solutions team and interacted with allied business functions and regional business unit leadership teams to ensure transparency and digital focus to product and pipeline development. • Next, I developed a team structure around three areas of focus, including: Analytics Group supporting tools, methods and data extraction for R&D with support for trait genetics, phenotypics, pedigree integrity, enhanced database breeding decisions, building and leveraging GWS data, phase advancement decisions and global portfolio management; Statistical and Digital Innovations team working to establish statistical strategy, enable data-driven decisions, and ensure availability of effective data-mining tools; and Pipeline Coordination team leading improvement and implementation of uniform streamlined protocols across crops to support data-informed advancement decisions, drove adoption of new analytics processes and tools, and provided a training platform on tools and workflows. • I also partnered with commercial business organization to gather and deliver guidance to breeding and discovery teams, while promoting data-based advocacy for product pipeline advancement, documentation, and leading development of a platform standardizing global operations.• Finally, I represented Vegetable R&D to standardize global and cross-functional alignment of processes, data, product characterization, and pipelines, ensuring organization effective and efficient in delivery of products and knowledge to customers.

• Prior to my Global Vegetable Pipeline & Portfolio Lead position, I served as the Tomato Global Breeding Lead tasked with delivering management and scientific leadership to industry-leading tomato breeding research and product development activities. • In addition, I restructured Breeding team, resulting in immediate enhanced scientific and operational execution with significant savings and significantly improved commercial pipelines in subsequent years, which extended industry leadership.• I also developed and implemented improved breeding protocols, including establishment of complimentary germplasm pool structure across programs, widespread adoption of marker assisted selection (MAS), and development and deployment of linkage-free trait breeding events.• Next, I spearheaded integration of breeders and technology research efforts into collaborative research teams, strengthening focus of basic discovery research toward relevant commercial targets and resulting in achievement of project milestones, product development, and commercial releases. • Additionally, I established Pipeline Development Operations team, later the Vegetable Pipeline Solutions team, focused on improving key breeding workflows, adoption of IT platform and tools, and enhanced pipeline transparency.• Last, I led development and implementation of cross-functional workflows across business units to achieve enhanced operational execution for pipeline advancements, product characterization, and customer knowledge transfer.

• In this position, delivered management and scientific leadership to Large Seed and Root & Bulb breeding research and product development activities. • I also secured eight new breeders for the team, providing immediate enhanced scientific and operational execution and significantly improving commercial pipelines in subsequent years and created and established improved breeding protocols, including the inclusion of recently developed technology tools.• Additionally, I directed development and implementation of cross-functional workflows directed at achieving enhanced operational execution for pipeline advancements and product characterization. • Next, I established performance indicators allowing bench marking to facilitate continued improvement against defined targets and later adopted in other crops and functions now used in managing pipeline development, advancement, and portfolio life cycle.• Last, I headed integration of breeders and research efforts into collaborative research teams within Monsanto vegetables, strengthening focus of basic discovery research toward relevant commercial targets and facilitating personal/team growth of breeders through exposure to strategic and tactical research objective development.

• As Director, I developed and led vegetable global product management team consisting of five Global Product Managers and the Operations lead with oversight of 23 crop species while establishing and leading regional crop teams in Americas, EMEA, and Asia.• I also oversaw product portfolio management, strategy development and implementation across all crop species globally and directed development and launch of a comprehensive annual business LRP process aligned with Monsanto guidelines and workflows while leading annual implementation and review across relevant functions.• Next, I optimized Monsanto’s vegetable revenue and profit for the seed business through management of product lines with all crop portfolios (23 crops), SKU optimization, demand forecasting, and inventory management, achieving both short and long-term LRP goals.• Finally, I headed cross-functional team representing product management, technology development and breeding to define, quantify, prioritize and select for crops and segments for product development and business participation, eliminating more than 60 crops, increasing focus, and improving business results.

• As Lead, I directed development of Monsanto’s corn commercialization model to optimize germplasm and overall trait revenue achieved through redefining market approach, germplasm deployment, pricing and alignment with trait strategy, increasing annual corn gross profit increases of $382M, $521M, $708M, and $1,112M from 2004-2007 with US corn accounting for 55% of North America gross profit and representing more than 40% of total global profit. • Next, I spearheaded germplasm sourcing and placement across Monsanto’s business units, including leading brand DEKALB/Asgrow, American Seeds Inc (22 regional brands), strategic retail partners, seed license partners, and key out-licensing accounts with these channels accounting for more than 60% US seed corn market share.• I also optimized Monsanto’s revenue and profit for seed business through management of product lines with nine product portfolios, SKU optimization, and inventory management, achieving short- and long-term LRP goals for corn volume and trait mix.• In addition, I represented US corn product management and led breeding organization and technology teams to ensure Monsanto led the industry in germplasm and trait performance across all RM zones.• Finally, I collaborated with global regional business leads in developing a multi-channel go to market strategy through the adoption and modification of model established in US markets.
