The Agile BioFoundry unites and expands the capabilities of a consortium of national laboratories to develop a robust, agile biomanufacturing platform accessible to researchers across the private and public sectors. The Agile BioFoundry integrates industrially-relevant production microbes, advanced tools for biological engineering and data analysis, and robust, scaled up processes for integrated biomanufacturing. I lead a team of researchers to engineer novel organisms to produce biofuels and bioproducts using our agile biomanufacturing process based on a core Design-Build-Test-Learn cycle. agilebiofoundry.org

The Fungal Biotechnology group is in the Deconstruction division at JBEI, which is focused on deconstructing lignocellulosic biomass into sugars that can be fermented into biofuel. The Fungal Biotechnology group is tasked with engineering Aspergillus niger to produce high titres of heterologous enzymes identified at JBEI that will be used to create lignocellulose-deconstructing cocktails.https://www.jbei.org/research/divisions/deconstruction/fungal-biotechnology/

I use genomic approaches, such as expression microarrays and ChIP-chip, to investigate the mechanisms of dosage compensation and its regulation by the Tip60 chromatin modifying complex. I am a Howard Hughes Medical Institute employee.

Maintained a Xenopus colony, a vicia faba greenhouse, and conducted research focused on profiling the actin isoforms in the inner ear of Xenopus laevis.
