Routinely schedules jobs, controls labor force to meeting production / planning needs, estimates labor and costs along with running department meetings, controlling product quality and evaluating machinery needs. Responsible for writing justifications for department needs, develops cellular work stations, plans moves to new facilities, formulates self-directed work teams, Lean Manufacturing, develops statistical process, controls teams along with aiding in documenting and writing of ISO 9000 and 9001-2000. Interacts with vendors and other departments to improve product quality. Controls the shop budget and administers satellites to level shop capacity; further also developed the Kanban Program. Works on inventory control and reduces waste by 20% through conversion to new product, vendor return, or disposition. In control of purchasing raw metals and fabrications, elimination of shortages to customers, which resulted in a reduction of costs by an average of 15%.

Produced quality machined parts according to specifications in blue prints, sketches, samples, or through verbal / written instructions.
