Prepare and conduct a vocal ensemble of 90+ voices in several Christmas in Music and Celebration of Spring concerts throughout the year. The Chorale has been providing their region with exceptional concerts as a community service for more than 62 years and continues strong as ever today. AVE is an ensemble of 18 - 24 exceptional singers who prepare and perform acappella choral music usually beyond the capacity of most local choral groups for the education and enrichment of the community. Our performances are presented free of charge to be used as a fundraising activity for a particular ministry or community project. Find us on Facebook.

From 1997 through June of 2008, I was Division Chair of Performing, Fine Arts and Humanities at the Regional College of Southern Maryland. Responsibilities included leadership, supervision and administration of an exceptional, diverse faculty and administrative staff. I administered the overall academic program on three campuses prepared yearly budgets, provided fiscal management, academic counseling and advisement, curricular design and development, program assessment, strategic planning, student recruitment and retention. I provided professional faculty development programs on technology and teaching along with programs for adult learners online, articulated through the University of Maryland University College. I designed arts education programs for teens and adults. I taught a variety of courses including Music Theory I – IV, Aural Skills I – IV, Choral Conducting and Literature, Music Appreciation, 18th & 19th Century Music, Jazz History I & II, 20th Century American Music, Music Industry/ Arts Management I & II and Piano and Vocal Classes. I contracted and produced conferences, literary readings, academic seminars and Music Concerts, Dance Performances and Theatre Festivals at the La Plata campus Fine Arts Center and Leonardtown and Prince Frederick Campuses. I coordinated and successfully received grant support for The Ward Virt’s Master Concert Series, Chautauqua Festival and Noontime Concerts and the 15 concert Twilight Performance Summer Series at all three campuses.As Founder, Music Director and Conductor of the College Community Concert Choir and Chamber Singers Ensemble, I developed one the most successful two year college choral programs in the entire state with choirs performing dozens of concerts throughout the region including the Washington National Cathedral, Baltimore Cathedral and United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, along with concert tours of the eastern United States, Germany and Austria.
