• Project manager responsible for project scheduling, tasking assignments, point of contact for clients, and project completion including ISO 9001:2000 requirements. • Prepare project proposals and bid packages.• Perform stability analyses for submission and review to ABS and USCG for various types of vessels including tank barges, deck barges, tug boats, pilot boats and passenger vessels. Stability reviews included numerical calculations based on rules and standards as well as conducting in-field inclining experiments, dead weight surveys and USCG simplified stability tests. • On site surveys and inspections of new construction vessels, vessels under going repair work, damage assessment surveys, and vessel condition assessments.• Structural designs and analyses based on ABS and USCG regulations as well as first principals analyses of various structures. The structural analyses include new construction, repair work, hull girder longitudinal strength, deck equipment and davits, lifting beams, and towing padeyes.• Develop crane-lifting charts for barge-mounted cranes based on characteristic of the barge.• Member of salvage/incident response team. Responsibilities include developing salvage and/or incident response plan as well as on-site engineer overseeing plan. • Project manager and lead engineer for re-powering of a 180 foot vessel. Responsible for installation of new vessel systems including main engines, gears, shafts, generators, and other miscellaneous systems.• HECSALV and CargoMAX modeling of various vessels including tug boats, barges, offshore supply vessel, tank vessels and bulk cargo vessels.
