John Marcus is an award-winning writer/producer of commercial, political and issue advertising, working for such clients as American Crossroads, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, NRCC, NRSC, RGA and several presidential PACs. Marcus wrote and produced the 2016 RNC convention film for Donald Trump and narrated by Jon Voight; wrote and produced the Pollie winning “Best Presidential” ad for John McCain, and wrote and produced the Pollie runner-up “Best Presidential” ad in 1996 for Presidential candidate Bob Dole; and helped produce “Ashley’s Story”, which Advertising Age named one of the top ten ads of the year. Recently Marcus helped the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the WV Chamber pass the historic right-to-work vote in West Virginia. Marcus also wrote and produced TV and radio ads supporting the confirmations of Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito.In consumer advertising, Marcus wrote and produced advertising for Verizon FiOS TV; Pennsylvania’s TAP 529 college savings program; and ValueAmerica, where his national television and radio campaign brought in a 600% increase in sales, and won an Addy Award in the highly competitive national retail category.He has written and produced national advocacy campaigns for the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care, the Coalition to Protect Americans Now, CDC, and the U.S. Department of Labor.Marcus produced ads for Stuart Stevens and Greg Stevens before becoming partner in the award winning political media firm, McCarthy Marcus Hennings.
