Eight months as Interim General Manager at The Club at Carlton Woods has come to a successful close, as CW has hired a very competent GM to take them into the future. Home now in San Antonio.

I'm here for eight months to assist the Membership purchase of the Club from the Howard Hughes Corporation. Been staying busy working through the transition details.

Reviewing Food and Beverage Procedures. Preparing Material for West Lakes Sales Effort during the 2016 Master's Golf Tournament

Working with the catering sales force to improve banquet sales, corporate sales and weddings at the Club.

I am retired and enjoying the solace. We now have a baby granddaughter born June 20, 2014! According to my wife, I make a great baby sitter.

Assisted the Board in Club Governance and worked to improve the "Best Practices" manual as presented for Private Clubs. Completed a Kitchen renovation plan as well as other important capital projects: completed a new well on the golf course, repaved the front drive, and helped decide what grass to finally use on the fairways.

Started in October 2004 and inherited a mess. Turned revenues around in six month. I booked all of the parties for seven years when I finally decided that I needed a Catering Manager to help with the multitude of bookings. I thank Amy Spears for being that person! The most important achievement during my tenure was to develop the parking lot in such a manner that the Member could rent a Hocker Tent and add 6000 sq. ft. of space to their venue. The crowning achievement was to expand the casual dining area that has, overnight, become the focal point for golfers and families as the place to dine in West Springfield. Chef Alex Dervishi is an exceptional Chef and developed a perfect Club Casual Dining Menu!

The same responsibilities that of any other Private Country Club. Take care of the company assets, keep the membership from fighting with each other, and motivating the employees to do their very best each day.

My first GM position as a Private Country Club Manager. Learned the basics and developed my own managerial style from what I learned. Golf Pro, Larry Drehs, is still the Pro. From Larry, I understand the nuances of managing a Private Country Club!

I worked for one of the Premier Restaurant owners in the Country, Jeff Ruby. The guy is amazing on how he accomplishes long term success. Hats off to Jeff Ruby! I learned a lot from him.
