Works co-ordinator.Jan 2016- Apr 2018I am in charge of the Asphalt testing and site investigation works on the M8,M74 and M73 project, I have 5 technicians under me and delegate work on a daily basis.I am the lead point on all UKAS audits for asphalt and Coring from the training of the technicians to be assessed, to the required level to the internal audit.I regularly investigate non-conformities within the lab and site, to quickly establish if it was technicians or equipment error or a material failure, which is then corrected and reported to the client in question.I am also lead driller on the project and have cored in excess of 5000 cores which is mainly newly constructed asphalt and existing ground assessments, I also do concrete slab investigations with a Hilti ferromagnetic scan for re-bar placement within the concrete.The job involves a lot of computer work between reporting results on a Excel spreadsheet to updating registers on the company database were I quality check all results before reporting to minimize time wasted between each test and report direct to the lab manager, I have built up a great relationship with a number of client contacts and can make on the spot decisions with my knowledge quickly and decisively.I currently work between 55-65 hours weekly and I'm very flexible with shifts.

Tillicoultry QuarriesLaboratory/ Site TechnicianNovember 2012-2016As a Quarry Technician I was part of a team responsible for quality control and the testing of products to ensure they are of high standard for BSI compliance. These tests which were UKAS standards BSEN 12697-1,2 and 13, which include binder by difference for bituminous products, sampling from a lorry, temperature of a load, aggregate testing, sand testing and concrete testing.I also use methylene chloride ISO 1869:1977 on a daily basis and maintain the recycle process to maximise the daily usage of the chemical for the products being tested, also COSSH awareness courses been attended.Results, findings and stock levels are recorded using gradlab systems with word and excel for data collating as part of our computerised quality system which I log work and used this system daily.I am health and safety aware and trained to a high maintenance level involving the inspection of plants and repairs on parts in all weathers. I calibrate lab equipment for audit purposes and I am active in the audit process. I work with accuracy and work closely with management to communicate as and when a fault is identified to have this rectified quickly.

Grangemouth

I was a key member of the distribution team during my employment with Metsa. My duties involved General Warehousing, auditing loads for delivery and operating a counter balance forklift, tele handler forklift and reach forklifts. I used the SAP system for stock management and Crystal Systems for booking Loads in and out of depot, I also filled in for the Supervisor when he was off. I worked day shift and back shift for this company.
