John has been the project lead in numerous IT projects within the Market Systems domain including analysis and design, development, and project management.In 2015, John was promoted to the role of market systems manager for Asia Pacific region. John last long-term engagement was at the Independent Market Operator (IMO) of Western Australia, where he managed all market system releases, while also providing project management services across numerous client projects. John’s project management experience for the IMO included the introduction of a compliance tools system, the successful completion of the MSGP Replacement project, management of the Data Provision Program, and the automation of the File validation test harness.Between 2010 and 2011, John managed the test program for the Market Evolution Program (MEP), which included the replacement of the IMO’s legacy ABB market systems and implementation of new markets for Balancing and LFAS.John primarily uses agile methods for project management. John was responsible for creating a specific project management framework based primarily on Scrum and XP for the IMO that has been very successful in delivering numerous projects to the client. John also has experience with the PMBOK with more traditional software development frameworks (e.g waterfall).
