- Lead a team of Architects / Engineers responsible for Compute Resources and services within Oracle Public Cloud (OCI). - Assist with the company’s strategic direction in selecting architecture and techniques to design and implement complex solutions that meet the business needs within OCI.- Responsible for the direction, design, and implementation of automation of compute resources and services as well as providing reports / metrics on cloud consumption.- Automate complete RHEL / CentOS install/config including various system management tools. Develop process and procedure as well as document Image release notes for the OS image lifecycle. Work closely with the development team to architect their application within the OCI environment satisfying business requirements while adhering to security guidelines. OCI is very new to Verizon, which requires close collaboration with the other architect teams (security, network, governance) that are defining and building out their portion of the environment.Previous Cloud Project:- Responsible for the UNIX cloud management framework and automation at Verizon (Cloud Services). - Experience includes the installation/configuration and support of the Solaris OpenStack environment. - Developed Ansible playbooks to provide complete automation of OpenStack installation/configuration and stack/instance creation/destruction, allowing the user to order a Solaris vm through an HP CSA self service portal communicating with Ansible Tower’s REST APIs and making calls to OpenStacks Heat orchestration engine.
