Clubb Lab: Worked to characterize the HpbA heme-receptor protein in Corynebacterium diphtheriae, with the goal of elucidating heme iron-uptake mechanisms in C. diphtheriae necessary for mounting infection in a human host. Worked to validate the fluorescent reporter Hemoglobin-TAMRA, which reports on heme loss from hemoglobin in complex biological media.

Boyle Lab at the UCLA Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology: Coordinated participant recruitment for the clinical study Aging and Reward System Response to Inflammation and Anxiety, which seeks to elucidate the relationship between anhedonia and inflammation in this underserved age group. Managed a team of 15 undergraduate research assistants in efforts to inform, screen, and enroll potential study participants.
