I recently returned from the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games where I gave two presentations; The Viking Invasion of Scotland and Captain Kidd, Scottish Sailor and Pirate. The Viking one in particular was very popular and this sentence was taken from an email by the lady who coordinates all the presentations: "We have 200 chairs in the tent. This year, the Viking Program was my No. 1 attended with 328 people. So it was a topic that everyone was interested in."

Responsible for training and directly supervising 70+ Reconnaissance Marines in the conduct of their specialized operations. Also served as a Company Commander at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA. As a Captain, held two Company Commands at 1/8 and served as a Operations Officer then Executive Officer at the Recruiting Station responsible for all USMC recruiting in Western New England. As a 2nd-1stLt, was a Platoon Commander at 3/1 and one at RSC/L in Guantanamo Bay (GITMO) Cuba. Currently hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance. Am the graduate of numerous military training courses including: Marine Combat Instructor Water Survival (MCIWS), Long Range (Over-the-Horizon) Maritime Navigation Course and Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC) Boat Raid Course, SERE School, Airborne School, High Risk Personnel course, etc. Worldwide service in locations including but not limited to; Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti, Liberia, Norway, Cuba, Cameroon, Africa and Germany..

Battalion Operations Officer, for Weapons Training Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC. Responsible for managing all current and future operations for Weapons Training Battalion. Coordinate with the major subordinate command operations officers for all Marine Corps units in the Eastern half of the United States to allocate annual rifle range qualification quotas. This equaled approximately 30,000 shooters annually. Collaborated with Marine Special Operations School and Special Operations Training Group to facilitate their live fire training at Weapons Training Battalion. Worked closely with Marine Corps Base Operations Officer on range maintenance and contractor support issues.

Determines required resources to complete work effort. Possesses detailed and functional knowledge of the Marine Corps and joint/combined Planning Process and Naval Construction Force, Marine Corps and joint doctrine related to military engineering functions. Conducts tactical and operational planning at the conceptual, functional and detailed levels for Naval Construction Force units at various echelons from the Division to Battalion level. Advises and/or performs the functional responsibilities of event billets that may include but are not limited to Battalion, Regimental and Division staff sections for Naval Construction Force, service and functional component headquarters and Joint Force Headquarters IAW area of emphasis. Performs research of concepts and plans and conducts analysis of factual data and prepares reports, briefs, and documents in support of event scenario development and higher and adjacent headquarters functions. Participates in, and conducts reviews and structured walkthroughs of events, operation orders and plans, and information gathering requirements. Attends conferences and meetings and represents the Naval Construction Force position at both the resident site and other locations off-site. During actual event acts in advisory role to the training audience as required. Assists in reviewing classified material and recommends a lesser classification for use in events, demonstrations, reports, and/or briefings. Recommends new business opportunities for Mobius Industries supporting the Marine Corps (capture management).

Served in the joint operations center (JOC) for Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) 82, Bagram Afghanistan Responsible for facilitating current operations being conducted in Eastern Afghanistan. Direct representative for the CJTF-82 Chief of Current Operations. The Commanding General’s liaison during hours of darkness with the subordinate battle-space owners. Gave daily battle update briefs to the CJTF-82 Commanding General and his primary staff on all operations and significant acts that transpired during the previous 12 hours, as well as all pending operations. Primary liaison between CJTF-82 and all Special Operations Forces operating in the area. Oversaw a staff of approximately 50 officers and non commissioned officers manning the JOC, who comprised every war-fighting function (logistics, medical, aviation, etc.). In off duty time, was a co-founder of the Parwan Rifles Rugby Club on the Bagram base.

Unit comprised of ten staff members and approximately 200 students attending three colleges: SUNY Maritime College, Fordham, and Molloy Universities. Responsible for training and evaluation the leadership and commissioning potential for all prospective Marine Corps Option students. Utilized prior recruiting experience to invigorate the Marine Option program. Officer Candidate School attendance (pre-requisite for commissioning) increased over 250% during the tour.
