Finance Manager responsible for all manufacturing divisions. Responsible for coordination of manufacturing division budgets, forecasts and development of assembly product cost studies. Key liaison between Manufacturing Finance and all other divisions including FP&A, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Logistics, and Supply Chain. Responsible for the development and dissemination of new reporting structures.

Financial partner to the Material & Logistics Management division. Currently focused on inventory reduction and optimization initiatives.

Senior Financial Analyst within all of Powertrain Manufacturing. Primarily responsible for product cost studies for new product launches and capacity expansions. Studies include make/buy analyses for existing or new transmissions and engines along with capacity expansions or industrialization of original powertrain options. Furthermore, have conducted casting and machining cost studies on products like shock towers, battery trays (including battery module assemblies) and torque converters.Other responsibilities include division wide performance reporting and analysis for Director and Vice President reviews. Furthermore, and most importantly, I am responsible for developing and guiding plant analysts through their work so that the division as a whole can provide more comprehensive and accurate financial analysis and forecasting.

Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing finance at the Dundee Engine plant, and report directly to the Plant Controller. I train, manage, and supervise the Daily Performance Analyst, the Capital Investment Analyst, and Senior Financial Analyst.Moving on to this position enables me to focus on more complex and detailed analysis of all plant costs and processes. This allows for more accurate forecasting of plant performance, and tighter controls over plant inventory and asset management.Additional responsibilities include approval of cycle count and other inventory adjustments, management and execution of annual physical inventory. I am also responsible for requisition approvals, utility payment approvals, and check requests when the Plant Controller is not available.

Responsible for developing a multi-million dollar manufacturing business plan for the Dundee Engine Plant. Also responsible for accurately forecasting calendar year spend every month, adjusting for volumes and unforeseen circumstances. Responsible for performance reporting of key process indicators such as plant manpower, jobs per hour, and financials using cost per unit analysis on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Additional performance reporting includes explanation of all variances to forecasted or budgeted spend. For example, if the plant overspends to forecast or budget, I report the exact activity that caused the overspend. Activities may include unforeseen breakdown maintenance (which would have a corresponding lost revenue component due to lost build), or additional scrap due to malfunctioning washer systems.Additional responsibilities include developing standard costs for each product produced by the Dundee Engine Plant, performing month end closing activities such as manual ledger entries, developing more accurate accruals for complex liabilities, and completing internal SOX controls.

Control, forecast and report capitalization, depreciation, location (within plant) and operation status of over 7,000 assets (machinery, equipment, and facilities) across the plant. Also responsible for management of asset disposal and transfer.Responsible for writing the business case (project) for all plant requests for investment funds (Capital Projects). For example, if the plant needs funding to add additional capacity, I determine the cost and potential benefit, along with other impacts to the plant such as disposals or changes in manpower requirements. I then prepare the executive summary and detailed package that is sent to senior management for approval. Once approved I am responsible for tracking and forecasting capital project expenditure, along with associated capitalization and depreciation.

Analyze waste and loss at the Kokomo Casting Plant in order to direct proper personnel to the areas best suited for improvement. Track project progress in order to determine whether the plant is meeting its savings goals with the overall purpose of continuous improvement. The most important function is to improve existing financial models in order to more accurately identify and measure cost representing waste and loss in the plant.

Conducted primary research for various strategy consulting and M&A due diligence projects, and aided in the analysis and review of data. Participated in review of work product and final delivery to client.
