John has a broad range of experience with over 30 years of financial markets experience having been involved in managing teams for over 25 years with four major Investment banks; Citigroup, Macquarie Bank, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch. John also has over 10 years of Investment Management experience having worked as a portfolio Manager within two fund management firms. His current role is with Plato Investment Management where he is a Senior Portfolio Manager. This role includes managing portfolio construction and management, system and risk model design and development, attribution analysis and strategy research. Prior to Plato John was with Northward Capital where he was a Board Member/Executive Director/Portfolio Manager for the Northward Equity Income Fund and Ethical Equity Income Fund.He has global experience in senior roles having worked in London for three years and Hong Kong for seven years. More recently John held senior positions with Macquarie Bank and Citigroup managing a team of derivative professionals within their respective Investment Banking Groups. John has an extensive Equity and derivative background enabling him to originate and structure new products and ideas to meet individual client needs. John has worked across multi asset classes which gives him the capability to offer the right products and solutions to both retail and institutional investors. John has been actively involved in educating clients on how to use derivatives as an overlay strategy and hedging strategy.
