Working at the front office for St. Regis Princeville was an incredible experience that exposed me to world class, 4 star luxury service. I had the pleasure of helping to oversee the front desk, concierge, guest services (bell and valet), the butler team and telephone operators. The opportunity to work with and assist the world’s most elite travelers and work with this large and wonderful team of hospitality professionals has helped to further shape my strengths as a leader.

Active in the training of front desk staff and housekeepers. I ensured that all hotel policies and standards were being met. I worked with the team to increase our rank on Tripadvisor to be within the top 5 for Tucson. I started a nature walk program to connect with the guests on a more intimate level and share the hidden beauty of the resort and Sonoran Desert. I created from scratch an inventory control program that tracked guest & cleaning supply usage and cost. I introduced revenue management to the front desk team, created strategies for the resort that were tracked to be effective for increasing revenue.

Monitored the staff and ensured that hotel standards and policies were being met. Was actively involved with training and was excellent at promoting top customer service. I learned what it is like to work in a union property and benefited greatly from the coaching and counseling skills that Hyatt taught me. I routinely exceeded guest expectations by taking the time to make them feel at home, get to know them, share information about the island, and anticipate their needs.

Member of the opening team. Front desk agent responsible for guest satisfaction, concierge, cash handling, gift shop, up-selling, and daily operations. Performed check-in, check-out, made guest recommendations. I assisted with luggage delivery, valet, spa reservations, service recovery, and restaurant reservations. It was through Ko'a Kea that I learned the value and importance of maintaining a positive presence through social media. The year following my departure, Ko'a Kea ranked as one of the top 10 hotel's for North America. I am proud to know that I contributed to that success.

This was a unique property in that it is one of the most inexpensive on island and gave me a wonderful opportunity to work with the most eclectic and varied group of guests I have even been exposed to.
