I have extensive experience in all aspects of clinical research and therapeutic product development including design, setting-up, monitoring, and reporting of all phases of clinical trials in a number of therapeutic areas. My experience extends to biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, and biomedical device start-up areas. I also have experience in medical writing – clinical trial protocols, clinical trial reports, regulatory summaries (CTN, CTX, IDE, and IND), SOPs, and training materials.Throughout my career I have held various positions in which training and development has been key. I have served as an adjunct academic at Queensland University lecturing on drug development and GCP and participating as a tutor and mentor for post-graduate program in drug development. I am a visiting Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology and a lecturer for the NSW Enterprise Workshop. I am now Senior Trainer for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Australian Chapter.I have extensive Project Management experience including business development, recruitment and training, budgeting, timeline management, logistics and planning, client relations including progress reporting.My line management experience has included management of a team of up to20 staff.I assisted with the establishment of a Scientific Sub-Committee to the Australian Defence Human Research Ethics Committee and was involved in reviewing, evaluating, and suggesting improvements for the National Ethics Application Form (NEAF).I have completed the Drug Information Association accreditation in clinical research quality assurance and have conducted both site and system audits. I have also been responsible for producing quality systems – quality policy, quality manual, and quality procedures including SOPs – in accordance with ICH E6 GCP, ISO9001:2000, and ISO14155 requirements. I currently lecture on Quality Assurance in GCP Studies at University and private industry level.
