Act as the Waste & CCU focal point, responsible for tracking and recording the movement of all generated waste and CCUs with overall technical responsibility for ensuring that related operational activity complies with all mandated requirements.Liaise and coordinate with all customer suppliers/vendors that are physically located outside of the base, regarding the utilisation of the land transport assets to deliver both forward and reverse material movements in and out of the base.Support the Integrated Control Tower Team in overseeing planning and monitoring of all waste related inbound and outbound movements to maximise operational efficiency, costs and customer satisfaction.Capture and report on all agreed waste management related KPI's for both the base and Clients.Checking and preparation of waste paperwork for all incoming loads and checking and labelling/booking in of loads.Data entry of incoming loads into an appropriate waste management tracking system.Managing all waste streams including hazardous waste as it transits through the base fordelivery to Client directed delivery points.Audit of Client approved waste delivery points to ensure waste is handled and/or disposed of in accordance with Client parameters.

Responsible for liaising with vendors to arrange on time delivery of client’s transport to the port for loading and offloading of vessels and the collection for delivery of backload cargo. Communicate with the CCU Coordinator to ascertain the requirements for transport of empty CCU’s to and from vendors or the quayside. Liaise with Operations Coordinator to make certain that all consignment notes and customs paperwork is completed to ensure a quick turn around at the customs exit gate at the port. Ensure that the traffic management plans are adhered to by all traffic entering and leaving the port to preserve a controlled quayside exclusion zone. Support the Operations Supervisor and Quayside Supervisor with both daily and future quayside operations. Provide visible safety leadership as a member of the SSB operations team by supervising forklift loading and unloading of vehicles in the shipping area, making sure all activities are carried out in a safe manner. Supervise stevedores when offloading abnormal loads from the vessel and onto waiting vehicles ensuring loads are secured safely for transport. Provide ongoing coaching as a mentor to the local Senegalese foreman giving clear daily work instructions. Give training to foremen and HGV drivers on ASCO iLMS and TMS systems. Work alongside Asco Lifting supervisors with lifting and moving of abnormal loads.

Responsible for the collection of Asco's clients shipping material making sure that any delays or issues with the collections are reported back to the client.Attend various meetings with the South Base clients giving updates on how the collections or deliveries could have any impact on the client's vessel sailing times. Control all small parcels vehicles making sure that material is delivered to various warehouses in a timely manner. Stand in for controllers when they are sick or on holiday and control a fleet of 58 vehicles. Allocate drivers to vehicles on a daily basic making sure all vehicles are manned up and make sure all drivers holidays are covered using agency drivers. Work closely with the fleet engineer and his staff making sure that all vehicles and trailers are made available to the garage for inspections and repairs. Input collections and deliveries into the Transport Management System (TMS) and make sure the correct information is passed onto drivers. Having a very good knowledge of the TMS systems means that I am called on to help with explaining how the system works to others.

Responsible for sales of company products and talking on the phone to all potential customers. Liaise with all company distributors in various countries around the world and checking with their sales departments ensuring that Ac-cess products are being sold. Set up various exhibition stands and attend conferences speaking with various potential customers. Producing packing list, Pro Forma’s and Commercial Invoices. Arrange the receipt and dispatch of packages making sure that all export and import documents are in place to ensure the packages clear customs. Communicate sales to the technical staff making sure that all products are produced and ready for dispatch as per the agreed dispatch time requested by the customer. Carry out all demonstrations and training required by the customer

Responsible for the running of a depot and 5 members of staff and ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the level of service they receive and make sure the members of staff are briefed on the work scope each day.Ensure that customers goods are collected in a timely manner and vehicles dispatched to our parent depot in Glasgow to meet onward vehicle for deliveries in the UK and Europe. There are strict departure times which have to be adhered to which I must communicate to my staff and customers.Liaise with customers and resolve any problems which may arise on a daily basis.Complete weekly and monthly financial reports for the general manager and also spread sheets for vehicle utilization and vehicle departure details.Ensure that all equipment are fit for use and report and record any defaults.Make sure that all members of staff comply with company Health and Safety policies.
