Dr John Mugo is the Director of Data and Voice at Twaweza East Africa, a dynamic non-profit that pursues improved learning outcomes, citizen agency and responsiveness of governments. He heads the Uwezo initiative in East Africa, as well as the Sauti za Wananchi mobile phone survey (see www.twaweza.org).
