Currently we are undertaking the construction of Lower Nyamindi Small Hydro Project which is targeted to produce 1.8 megawatts on completion. The scope of works include, construction of intakestructure, headrace canal, forebay, backwater spillway, penstock including anchor and supportblocks, powerhouse, switch station, transmission line and access road.Responsibilities as site EngineerLiaison between Contractor and ClientOffer technical advise to the contractor and subcontractors craftspeople and operatives.Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractor.Prepare reports as requiredResolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.Confirming and setting out of works.Confirming work measurements on site ;Responsibilities as Design EngineerOrganize and maintain existing engineering records.Ensuring components and assemblies adhere to standards.Project initiation and detailed designPreparation of working drawingsPreparing Program of works.Recording daily activities.Preparation of Bar Bending schedule and material reconciliation.
