Over the past year I have taken over the majority of the responsibilities of the vacant CIO position. In this position I successfully managed the budget and negotiated several multi-million dollar purchases. We have changed email retention policy, and submitted several updated policies for review. I negotiated and installed the following: a new state-wide network, 1000 new computers and 250 new laptops, upgraded many core systems (most of which were done at a considerable savings to the office) while setting direction and following the lead of the Attorney General as it pertains to IT. Currently we are in the process of negotiating a full data center upgrade. While planning for the longevity in the ever-changing technology environment. I currently manage most aspects of the IT department, with the exception of Application and Development.As Manager of the Infrastructure & Operations Group, I manage a team of IT professionals with responsibility for maintaining and supporting all aspects of the OAG’s infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, desktop computing devices, laptop computers, printers (personal and network), handheld/mobile devices, the OAG statewide network, IT equipment located in OAG field locations, wiring and cabling at all OAG locations, email, servers, storage systems, Data Center and the administration of key line of business applications.
