I am artist John Palliser art has always been a big part of my life. My painting is my voice. through which I tell a story with every brush stroke, I started painting professionally in the 80s .When I took the Queens shilling and for the next nine years found myself serving around the world as a Royal Engineer then as a Royal Military Police non-commissioned officer in the British Army. Serving In Germany during the cold war and on active service in Northern Ireland at the hight of the troubles. During this time I had a chance to work with the official war artists and it was not long before I to was capturing my own experiences in paint. Over the years this has been perfected, my style of combining both the classical and the contemporary, hangs proudly in homes and military messes all over the world. in the late 80′s in the Midlands I painted Murals in restaurants, homes & businesses later painting seascapes around the North Norfolk Coast. My work has also been featured by the BBC & was part of a documentary on Trimingham North Norfolk filmed for channel 4. My most resent work now being followed by ITV and will be featured in the 2014 WW1 commemorative program. Having travelled widely over the course of a long career of military service and working as an artist for over thirty years, I now work out of the North East of England, The passion that I bring to my work runs visibly through each piece that I produces. I was Born in the South of England, and first established himself in the late 80's painting 3D murals in homes, Hotels, restaurants and corporate buildings, later creating paintings of the various canal-ways throughout the Midlands for much of my early career then specialised, with much success, in depicting the evocative seascapes and landmarks of North Norfolk.More recently, my work has taken on an increasingly symbolic aspect, with my deep-felt sense of patriotism .
