Worked onsite at Adesa in Carmel, IN. Assisted in the design phase of a Windows Server 2008 R2 / IIS environment for Adesa's new .NET server farm. Developed documentation including hardware/software plans, platform development standards, change management procedures, monitoring, backup/recovery, security, and deployment guides. This was a temporary contract assignment

Provides expertise in several roles such as technical leadership, project management, change management, patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and security methodologies. Performs hands on systems administration in Windows and Linux environments. Provides extensive Microsoft Exchange 2003 support in a clustered environment with over 1000 users. Performs ESX VMWare administration including migrating current physical servers to VM, as well as building VM servers from scratch. Provides broad support for all system backup and recovery processes in two datacenters. Designed and implemented migration from Arcserve to CommVault enterprise backup and recovery solution. Designed and implemented Active Directory migration project, which involved migrating newly purchased companies to the parent company’s Windows 2003 Active Directory forest. The environment contains Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008 servers. Provides support for corporate wide disaster recovery exercises. Provides third level end user support and interfaces with helpdesk members to ensure timely customer service. Provides 24/7 off hour operational support and resolution. Experience with Active Directory & Group Policy Management and demonstrates knowledge of DNS for use in Internal and External name resolution.

Provided onsite guidance to the Indianapolis Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) IT Specialists on daily operations of the Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory network and systems. Involved in the daily operations and maintenance support tasks and assisted the FBI with post-implementation tasks. Installed and configured Dell servers and workstations with Windows based and proprietary software while also maintaining legacy systems. Administered data backups and restoration using Veritas NetBackup software. Provided first level of support for the network systems and one-on-one training and guidance to FBI IT Specialists. Administered the Windows 2000 Active Directory domain and the Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 implementation. Maintained high visibility within the FBI user community while providing in person and telephone support. Provided weekly status reports to project managers and maintained necessary technical documentation to include training materials and configuration information.
