Responsible operationally for largest site in Gist which is leading edge in terms of automation and handling. Managed Ocado successfully during their steepest growth period to date from 20k - 40k orders per week. Achieved 10,000 orders peak day in Hatfield warehouse. Led the Ocado warehouse to reach an operating profit for the first time. Developed high performance team of 6 Senior Operations Managers and 40 Section Managers. Delivered high service levels simultaneously with extensive major change programme. Developed excellent relationship with the Ocado Board. Scope of the role To implement a major Behavioural Safety Programme in the whole of Gist, from Board level to shop floor for 3000 managers and staff. Achievements Successfully designed and implemented tailored programme for all levels of staff in Gist.Improved Safety performance in business as measured by all leading indicators. Programme was the Highlight of 2004 Gist Senior Management Conference attended by Group CEO.

This project deliverable was to provide capability to meet significant volume increases and the implementation of a full WMS and new IT solution to support this.
