John started his career with UUNet in 1999 (at age 16) as an intern in the Network Management Center (NMC) in Fairfax, VA.  He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Gettysburg College, PA in 2005.  In June 2005, John returned to the Network Management Center (NMC) as a full-time employee.  He has worked all three shifts in various roles within Network Management and has discovered a niche for supporting Verizon's international data networks.John's focus has always been on Verizon's core backbone networks (AS70x), but has also become an expert in legacy MCI, Worldcom, and XO data networks due to business needs; providing 24x7 on-call support for Network Management personnel.John takes pride in the customer experience, and so, maintains an elevated awareness of how teams monitor, perform maintenance, and deploy projects on Verizon's data networks.  John is currently a member of the Technical Support team for Verizon's public data networks (IPT3).
