FMOT stands for the “first moment of truth” the acronym used for the first CONSUMER RESEARCH CENTRE utilising new techniques of virtual reality technology to simulate anything from products to new retail supermarket interiors.The initial space planning revolved around the Barco “CAVE” the VR facility achieved by five projectors and mirrors contained in a clean dust free environment.Over-all project management for complete fit-out of customer focus lounge, customer monitoring rooms, offices, presentation/AV suite with AV control console.Following the successful launch of the FMOT in the UK to the wider corporate market, Spice were retained to carry out feasibility studies on a total of seven locations. Following feasibility studies on other locations two buildings were taken to a detailed contract stage with local developer /contractors, but failed due to unsuccessful lease negotiations.The design and planning, specification, cost /budgeting and P&G development of operating strategy was refined at each step to be fully utilised in the final building scope of fitting-out.
