I am a biologist and ecologist by education and, a champion of sustainability at heart. In fact, I think my interest in helping the environment started when I was just a young boy; my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and as a five year old, I said Marine Biologist! That eventually led to a post-secondary degree B.Sc. Hon.-Biology and an M.E.Sc- focus was on aquatic chemical ecology. However, this was not the end of my education. I believe that learning is an essential lifelong process, and because of that I have been completing a post-graduate certificate in environmental project management over the course of this academic year. In addition to my scientific expertise, I have also acquired a diverse array of skills from the extra-curricular and work spheres of my life. I have been: an event coordinator, graduate studies representative on a board of directors, successful commercial sales associate, as well as a delivery and construction technician.Some of my current passions and projects include aquaponics/ ecosystem engineering, environmental policy analysis, and generally contributing to the scientific education of everyone in my life.Due to my diverse background I possess an array of hard and soft skills including but not limited to: leadership, team building, organization, data analysis, public speaking, Microsoft Project, a working knowledge of the ArcGIS suite, and practical understanding of construction techniques.Finally, I am open to both networking and career opportunities.I look forward to connecting with you.
