He has extensive experience in private and public sectors including Master Planning, Regional and individual site Recreational Planning, Sustainable Design, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Renewal and Revitalization planning. He has performed numerous feasibility studies, site planning analysis, connectivity strategies and project programming for a diverse range of projects. He is thoroughly familiar with land-use strategies and issues, site development design criteria and governmental regulations. He has over 40 years of professional experience.John received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. His projects and professional involvement have been recognized by several professional organizations including the ULI, ASLA, and CNU.Project profiles include involvement in the original phases of the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, the New Urbanism community Harbor Town near Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, master planning for Telfair in Sugar Land, Texas and the original prototype of the Avalon Communities.
