Cerro Verde Expansion Project, Arequipa, Peru. Responsibilities included the installation and commissioning of temporary and permanent communications systems; installation of communication towers in extremely remote locations; installation and commissioning of 150 cu meter per hour cement batch plants; and monitoring and controlling cement quality and quantities delivered to all areas. Also responsible for initial set up of multiple office complexes, warehouses and laydown areas.Contract control / oversight of 34 kms of 550 kV / 220 kV Transmission Line complete with associated transformers, internal power distribution systems and switchgear; installation of Tailings Delivery and Water Reclaim Systems including reclaim barges and associated pump stations. Responsible for site erected storage, process tanks, thickeners, associated mechanical and electrical equipment.

Management of a workforce consisting of 23 Staff, 18 Draftsmen and 475 Indonesian and Papuan employees to produce approximately 400 to 500 metric tons of fabricated steel per month. The facilities cater for all Mine, Mill Operations and Maintenance Programs as well as all Major Capital Expansions. Recent projects included Crusher Master Plan, Mine Grasshopper Conveyor, High Pressure Rollers and Ship Loading Facilities required approximately 3500 tons of steel. All projects were completed safely, on schedule and under budget. Responsible for the implementation of a Repair and Return to stock program where worn or damaged mining components are refurbished resulting in a significant cost deferment of approximately $9 million per year. Developed web based, on-line monitoring systems and significantly streamlined the operation by placing all documentation and drawings on a common server. A NOSA 5 Star Rating was achieved and sustained.

Operations and Maintenance of the Dewatering Plant Filters / Hot Drying Process and associated storage and ship loading facilities. Responsible for a crew of 400 during the construction / installation of a Horizontal Filter Press System that replaced sections of the existing vacuum filter and fuel oil kiln dryer units. Construction of storage facilities with a capacity of 45,000 tons complete with feed distribution and retrieval systems. Construction of replacement Ship Loader and associated weigh scale and conveyor systems.

Responsible for various Capital Expansion projects including a 230 kva transmission line from Portsite to MP50. Installation of approximately 22 miles of 18” HPDE pipeline, pumps and associated equipment. Hydrostatic testing, commissioning and final hand over. Responsible for the installation of a new airport control tower,communications equipment and non directional beacon. Upgrades to the existing terminal and refurbishment of the runway facilities. Company representative for the construction, quality control / assurance, scheduling, cost control of a 3 x 65 meg Coal Fired Power Plant. Planning, implementation and erection of the 150 meter x 300 meter single span coal cover.

Various projects around South Australia including pipe projects for Santos Gas and Roxby Downs Copper Mines.

Installation of new Floatation Cells, Ball Mills and associated conveyor systems. Installation of 74 mile twin 6” slurry lines and associated valve configurations.
