I am retired but have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work more than 50 years in some very rewarding occupations. Among my past employers are: The ChicagoTribune, CNA Insurance Companies, Bowne Business Solutions, Output Technology Solutions, Failsafe Media, and Countrywide Home Loans. Before relocating to Florida I was employed by Family Alliance Inc., a Senior Day Programming facility in Woodstock, IL. Family Alliance specializes in working with Seniors 55 or better who have various forms of dementias as well as providing socialization for seniors. My positions there were Activity Coordinator, Case Manager, and Development Associate. I also facilitated Mens Small Groups, and assisted in driving buses, transporting clients to and from the center.I decided to "un-retire in Florida and work with Villages Transportation in the Villages as a logistics manager, involved with scheduling maintenance on more than 40 buses, vans and taxis. Great work in a fast-growing company serving Central Florida. However, COVID 19 has changed plans for everyone. I've retired again, and Villages Transportation (now renamed Workman Transportation) temporarily shutdown and has reopened on a limited basis with increased service around Sept. 28.
