Worked as a supervisor for the CNC routing tables, CNC Press Break, CNC hydraulic roller, Sheet Metal Shear of a Sign company. During this time I managed my team, their workflow, handed down priorities based on meetings with the plant manager and other supervisors, kept track of progress, paid close attention to incoming work orders and what materials would be necessary and in what quantities, communicated with material managers and handlers to move the desired stock, kept track of machining times and tool utilization and optimization, such as feeds and speeds, proper routing bits to be utilized and which bits, parts or supplies needed to be ordered or upgraded. Promoted a safe and clean environment for work and the utilization of proper PPE equipment and performed periodical checks on the maintenance of all work spaces of my department. I was responsible for a team of 8 or more workers and my greatest success was to train individuals without experience to fulfil roles that required a lot of knowledge and instill the desire to do well and to care about the mission. Not all individuals decided to stay but the ones who did made me proud by developing into their roles and becoming references for others. The greatest lesson from this position was the importance of clear communication with everyone.

Volunteered to serve in the Brazilian Army, a few months after was given the opportunity to take the test to become a corporal, decided to go for it and passed. Months of hard training paid off as I became a corporal in 6 months. I went on to lead my own group and learn how to earn the cooperation of 18 year old guys who joined at the same time as me. It was a great experience and by the end of my contract I was discharged with honors.
