Involved the maintenance and servicing of the full range of Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment to the specification’s of Caterpillar manual’s and guideline’s. Extensive experience with Electronic Technician and VIMS troubleshooting and repairs. Onsite repairs and component change out’s as required by customer and Hasting Deering. Assembly of new machines, commissioning and delivery to customer.

Working at various locations in the local coal fields and surrounding areas on a wide variety of general and mining earthmoving equipment and support gear. Also carried out rebuilds at the Mackay workshop

Day to day supervision of maintenance and servicing of a large fleet of earthmoving equipment in a remote and demanding environment. Workforce consisted of mostly PNG nationals who required considerable hands on training and supervision to assist with repairs and troubleshooting due to the skill levels of the local staff. All site safety regulations were taken from Australian Regulations and Procedures and were in line with procedures in place at Thiess sites within Australia.
